Take the Chance: A Tribute

Born in the Robson Valley of B.C., started and trained at Fiddle River Farm the Appendix Quarter-horse "Chance", moved on to the province of Quebec. There he moved on to a high powered career as a three Day Eventing star for a Young Rider named Caitlin Wallace at the provincial, national and international levels.

Chance died suddenly and tragically December 4th 2009.

He left behind him an impressive list of international career highlights, a testimony to his rider’s skill and determination piloting this little grey horse and his unstoppable great heart.

Time and time again Chance was called into the winners circle of the International Eventing arena.

Career Highlights:

  • NAYRC in 2006 in Lexington Virginia USA
  • 3rd place finish in the Bromont CIC* International in 2006 (Quebec)
  • second place finish at the Bromont International CCI* Fall Event in 2007

On the National level:

  • Napierville Horse Trials, QC placed 4th in open intermediate in 2008
  • 1st at Grandview Horse Trials (Ontario) at the Preliminary level in 2007
  • 3rd at Tandalee Open Preliminary in 2007

Chance was the highest scoring horse at the Young Rider Preliminary category in Quebec in 2006 and Reserve Champion at the Intermediate level in the South Shore of Montreal region in 2008.
